Good Pizza Company - Grand Rapids

I was excited when I saw that this place opened and Detroit style was a deep dish. Buddy's Pizza is one of the few things I have consistently missed since moving to GR from the Detroit area years ago. I ordered from here a few times and had different experiences regarding the quality of the pizza. Both times I took out the deep style with three toppings and the sauce above. The first time it tasted good, but it was a hot mess to look and handle and was a little disappointed. Not sure what happened, but the crust was overly thick (absolutely raised) and there was so much sauce (and perhaps an extremely generous application of toppings? that it was very sloppy and out of the box on the way home. But as I said, it tastes good and the photos showed that they were able to make a good looking pizza, so I gave them another try. The second time was a beautiful thing with a thick but not too thick crust, beautiful, defined caramelized edges along the outside, and discrete puddles of the sauce above. If they do it right, it's great. Hopefully, the consistency on future orders is improved as I love that there is a business that offers this style of pizza in the city, and I want them to succeed.

I stumbled upon the Good Pizza Company at ArtPrize, and it turned out to be a delightful find. I decided to have lunch there, and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious pizza and unique toppings. I tried a new option called "Mr." and it was fantastic! As others have noted, their pizza features a wonderfully crisp, thin crust that is truly delicious. I highly recommend it!

With so many ready to go pizza places out there it's easy to forget what truly awesome means when we're talking about pizza. Good Pizza is perhaps the most modest name I've ever seen. Go, go now! Refresh your memory about what Fabulous Pizza tastes like and discover a new, the joy pizza brought us old folks before the advent of pizza pizza!

The deep dish pizza is exactly what I've been searching for—it's got a hearty crust and fresh toppings with just the right amount of cheese all the way to the edge. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic; I really appreciate the colorful decor and the friendly staff. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Great thin crispy crust, tasteful toppings and stretchable melty cheese. It is like a 10x better version of famous beam in NYC. If you like it, you might have asked for extra, but we liked our ass. The vegan pizza was so good I couldn't say it was vegan.
