Runza - Grand Island

Love runza, cheese runzas are the best, a true nebraska original!!! And their fries are the only ones I eat!! Might as well make it a fring.. (fries and onion rings) because their onion rings are the only ones I will eat also!!

This was my first time eating a runza and it was delicious! Nebraska's best kept secret!

Food is always great. The onion rings are really crispy. Runzas are always done to perfection. One can't beat the chili and cinnamon rolls.

Away from the home of the Runza, a meat and spices sandwich baked inside a bun and native to Nebraska, it had been almost 40 years since I’d eaten an original Runza. And here I was, right across the street from a Runza store and hungry, given the chance to taste for myself if they were as good as I remembered. I was not disappointed: it tasted just like old times. It was well worth the time to drop in, for a Runza or any one of their delicious sandwiches. Service seemed a little slow, since there were only four other customers in the restaurant and probably twice that number of uniformed employees. I had to stand at the counter for several minutes twice after picking up my order. If there had been a bell, perhaps one would have noticed me as they scurried back and forth.
