Eating is not the best, but decent and they are open to 11, what the owners friendly is the staff is very friendly really enjoyed it up there

Today, at 7pm Google said this was open. We were dying for a couple of margaritas some tavern food. To our surprise they were closed at 7:40pm! Hence the one star, very disappointed after working all day wanting one of their margaritas. On another note I've been there twice and each time charge a different price. Not sure if it was happy hour the first time or not...

Owner cooks the food himself ..everything made from scratch...... He does not own a freezer!!! Food is excellent. Very personable. Sweetheart of a guy. Highly recommend.

Staying at the colonial motel nearby so we decided to try the Hitching Post and glad we did. Good fresh food cooked to order. Family run restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Good drink selection also. Highly recommended
