Mexican Village - Grand Forks

I haven't dined at Mexican Village for nearly 40 years, so we thought we'd give it another shot. Unfortunately, it will be the last time we go there. The food is nothing like authentic Mexican cuisine, especially considering our location in Grand Forks. There's really not much positive to say about it; it's bland and tasteless, and the dishes are covered with what appears to be a Velveeta cheese product, which is far from appetizing. Even fast-food Mexican places offer better options. What a disappointment!

I found Taco Bell's taco salad to be far superior to what I had here, as this was almost tasteless. I took 4 or 5 bites before deciding to throw it away and find something more palatable. When they asked which dishes I would recommend, my response is simple: look elsewhere.

Tried to order online, but there was no option to select certain meals and nowhere to put in payment. Called in, and the lady was very friendly and prompt. Got my food home, and it was still hot, good portions, for the most part tasty. The red sauce had a little kick, which I liked, but it overpowered the flavors of my meal. Overall, it was good and it's improved from years past. I'll give it another try again.

The food is fresh and delicious! The meat and cheese dip for the chips is fantastic. They offer a variety of wonderful sauces and gravies in red, white, and brown options for different dishes. This restaurant has been a beloved Mexican spot for a long time, and it consistently delivers great quality. I will definitely keep returning! They also have excellent specials.

We LOVE this place and visit frequently when we 're back in town.PLEASE consider one thing change the sign at the checkout register to say, We offer a 3% discount for cash! rather than listing that you charge extra for card users.
