Pizzeria Santa Lucia II - Grafenwöhr

We stopped into Pizzeria Santa Lucia II on a Sunday for lunch and were pleased to find that they were open. Their menu has a nice variety of common dishes, not just pizza and pasta. They also had steaks, schnitzel, salads, and chicken.Today's special was mussels. Their portions were plentiful, service was great and the restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. There's also an ATM right around the corner if you'd like to have cash. We'll definitely visit again.

First restaurant since I've been fully vaccinated against covid. This honestly was a long time coming. I came with my work group and their spouses so it was a total of 8 of us. First thing I need to emphasize (like everyone else who's written a review) is the pasta and salad portions are HUGE! Seriously. A single plate of either could be shared between 1-4 people. for a group of 4 I'd order one salad plate and then share 2 pasta plates. They're really that huge. The pizzas are def smaller and are about 12 . You could do that with 2 people or just 1 if you're a voracious eater. So We all ordered mostly pasta plates. I ordered the cheese platter and both bruschetta apps for the table and my boss got the tzatzki sauce. It's all ok. I ordered a rigatoni plate and had a bite of a pizza. It's all ok. Nothing amazing. The pizza's crust is a bit dense and I don't think I'd order that again. I wouldn't order the rigatoni again either but would try the steak. But dammit, this is suppose to be an Italian restaurant! I also got the house white wine and it wasn't bad. Overall not a bad place but nothing amazing.

I've been here twice, back to back! The rumpsteak plate is absolutely amazing. The butter herb they place on top really made it all the more amazing! Their pasta plates are large enough to share with another person, but if you're not down for sharing the left overs make an excellent meal for later! Their cheese sticks and bruschetta appetizers are both really good and come out extremely quick! Actually all our plates came out really quick even whenever it was busy! Great friendly service as well!

Decent Italian food. I remember being a bit disappointed by the serving size of my lasagna dish and it being a little on the expensive side. Located right in the middle of town, the service was pretty good and it's a convenient location for eating.

Super friendly service and huge portions are definitely on the plus side, but the food was only a bit better than average in my opinion. The pizza was probably the most reasonable approximation of American pizza I've had in Germany, but the crust was still a bit too dense for my personal taste. The pasta dishes were absolutely massive, but nothing remarkable otherwise. Not a bad choice by any means, but I'd call it average overall...
