Royal Tandoor - Governors Bay

Awesome food. One of the best indian restaurants that I've been to. Definitely the best naan breads; fluffy, soft, tasty, cooked in a tandoori. Friendly staff.

Good food for best price. Owner cooks himself and is an accomplished chef. Best Indian curries you can find in town. Staff is happy to customize per your likes. I go there quite often.

This was delicious. A lot of Indian places I have tried in CHCH are all watered down and bland. The food from Royal Tandoor had a fantastic consistency. It could use a little more heat but that's not a major. The food is still delicious and flavorful. I throughly enjoyed the Lamb Saagwala and the onion bhajees are my absolute favorite

Mini combo- I tried mino combo today, meal was delicious and cost $15. Will try again. (My meal was Kadai paneer as curry, 1 naan, rice and drink can).

Absolutely loved the food. Son ordered butter chicken, not my style but had a taste and it was divine. I ordered Lamb Jalfreizi and that was spot on. Owners were superb to deal with, kind, welcoming and warm. Seriously give this place a visit. Wasn't our first time here and it won't be the last.
