Kadaloram Restaurant, Abad Plaza

Part of the Abad Plaza hotel, this restaurant has a very good choice in Kerala cuisine especially of the non veg variety. Excellent ambiance and very good buffet arrangement for lunch. Non Kerala menu options are also there.

A very good place to got for lunch and enjoy some of the best Kerala cooking. Traditional food served hot with good service in fairly good ambience. Located in MG Road it gives people shopping a place to retreat and freshen up and also enjoy some great spread this traditional hotel has to offer. Could be full during holiday season with visitors from other part of India and abroad willing to wait for a table. Go early if you are to get good seats and also have the full spread. At times, there is shortage of food in buffet and they take about 10 minutes to fill it up again with hot food. But it is worth the wait. Service is excellent with waiters who are well mannered and able to speak English fluently.

The restaurant located on the ground floor of Hotel Abad Plaza on MG Road offers delicious South Indian snacks at a reasonable price. They also serve Nordic snacks. The ambience is cozy and family-friendly. The cappuccino here is much better than the coffee served at CCD. I highly recommend checking it out.

This was my first disappointing experience eating at a restaurant. My family and I visited for lunch on the 25th and ordered a hamburger, pizza, and garlic chicken. Unfortunately, all the dishes were equally bad this time. I believe the main reason for the poor quality was the excessive use of twirl and frige tweebeln in the continental and Chinese dishes. Why would you need to add that to a hamburger? The overwhelming use of tweepers made the garlic chicken taste like a Kerala kitchen. The restaurant seemed chaotic, with staff constantly rushing around and struggling to take orders. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. On a positive note, the Pepsi we ordered tasted good. Despite this bad experience, I may consider returning to Caffe Kanopy in the future, as I have had good experiences there in the past. It may be too soon to completely write them off.
