Ca Di Pieri - GORIZIA

As so many reviewers say, this is a fabulous place for good home cooking. It is friendly: many people seem to come in from the street on the way home for a quick dish. It is also full of families. There is no menu. The dishes are read out to you in Italian, which adds to the fun! We had starters and dessert. I had ricotta ravioli with a sauce of cherry tomatoes; my partner orzo pasta with porcini mushrooms and we washed it down with good local wine. My dessert was strawberries and ice cream lovely sweet strawberries that are so hard to find in Britain while my partner had a delicious chocolate fondant. Coffee and grappa rounded off a wonderful meal

Delicious food and atmosphere and choices of local cuisine, a favorite of the locals and very modestly prices. Bistecca Milanese was the best i've had in Italy and the service was courteous and from the heart. Wold be back again.

We were looked for a nice place to eat. We found this one and booked a table for 21.15, but the girl seemd exhausted.. We finally decide to arrive at 20.20. Very kind service. There is no written menu. The food arrived quickly, maybe to quick. The plate was not very tasty.. But the price was ok.

You eat very well, really recommended however it is mandatory to book
