The Village Cafe - Gordonville

The manager and staff at this restaurant were exceptionally kind and accommodating, even staying open late for us to enjoy our meal. We were grateful for their hospitality. The restaurant is family-friendly with many families dining there. Additionally, the ground-level entrance makes it wheelchair accessible.

The only place I can consistently get a quality iced London fog! Great employees, great service.

Ordered a large chicken pita paid almost $15 just to not eat it because the chicken tasted like sponges and it was basically just an open faced mess you would’ve had to use a fork and knife to eat it if it was even edible. Not to mention the girl behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge me because I am a woman of color. Funny thing is I’m not a tourist I live right down the street and have for years. Won’t be going back here that’s for sure.

Just had lunch here today and we really enjoyed it. Walking in you see nice clean looking tables, lots of space, and good light from the windows which is good for all the pretty potted plants they have all around. You order at the counter and they bring your order to the table. I had a strawberry salad with grilled chicken and poppy seed dressing, and it was so full of berries, candied pecans, and feta cheese that it would have been good and filling even without the chicken. My Mom got a cheeseburger and the best sweet potato fries we've ever eaten. We actually found this place by accident but we were glad we did. We will definitely go again.

This was our first time here. We have passed this Café many times, and we decided to stop in and give them a try. They serve mostly sandwiches and soups at dinner time. I had a cheeseburger hoagie, and my wife had a turkey sandwich on a croissant and potato chips. You order at the counter, and they bring it to your table. You also bus your own table when you are finished. The restrooms were out in a hall. I think they are used by several businesses. They were clean and well maintained. The dining area was neat and clean with lots of natural light. We enjoyed our dinner and had a positive experience. I hope that you will give it a try.
