Contribuiți la feedbackAbsolutely terrible. I revisited this restaurant after a year for dinner today and ordered 2 dosai with mutton chukka. The taste was very bad and the meat pieces were of poor quality. I informed the waiter but he did not respond, just handed me the bill. I ended up paying Rs 370, although I feel like I should have paid nothing for the experience. A disappointment all around.
I watched a YouTube video before heading to this restaurant for lunch. I ordered the Mutton Briyani and Nattu Kozhi Pepper Dry with Egg Porial. Unfortunately, the mutton in the Briyani was not cooked well and the Nattu Kozhi was just okay. Overall, I don't think this place is worth the price we paid for lunch. It might be better for dinner though. The Mutton Briyani cost Rs 300 and the Nattu Kozhi cost Rs 300.
Awesome, they got all ready early in the morning.... sad is all items gets over soon..but very tasty.. yummy... need to try naattu kozhi kuzhambu...
The non-vegetarian food at this restaurant is great, but the vegetarian options are lacking. The biryani was delicious and we especially enjoyed the naati chicken. The mutton dish was also very tasty.
Another must try place for carnivores..... Mangalam Hotel Salem Another must try place in Salem is the Mangalam Hotel in the New Bus Stand Road. We were driving down from Kerala and as usual I was in a carnivore state of mind. My better half searched and found reference to Mangalam Hotel from Bangalore Foodies Club. We called up the number given to make sure the hotel was open and available at 6:00 pm. They have two branches each a distance of 2 km apart. The second one has a good parking and AC facilities but was closed. At 6:00 we were the only customers. However the staff was already expecting us and hit the ground running. We ordered Veach Parotta, Mutton chukka this was a different form and had a thick gravy , pichi pottu chicken shredded chicken fry, kalki egg. Kalki egg was very different. Here eggs are poured over a heater griddle and then taken off and allowed to cook in its own heat. This makes the exterior omletty while the core is moist and soft. Amazing. Also had 3 dosas. This also came with a complementary chicken and mutton gravy. After all this and packing the chicken and mutton for home the bill came to almost 900. The Veach parotta is this cousin of the Rumali Roti with oil. Black pepper was the hero of every dish and opened up our sinuses nicely. The flavor of each and everything was phenomenal and the service absolutely brilliant. oth the gravies were excellent and were good combos for the dosas and veach parotta. Afternoon has the option of a meals and chicken and mutton biryani which is very popular. Evening is only snack varieties like parottas and dosas and meals/biryani is not available.
