Mozambique Restaurant Goolwa Hotel

Spent 10 nights in Goolwa and dined 3 nights at the Goolwa Hotel.

Real pub, real pub food, real pub service and definitely real beer(/wine/cider). The Goolwa doesn't have bells or whistles but that's part of the charm.

Very 80's or 90's with the help yourself salad bar, it was quite empty but then it was a monday night.

We have been eating regularly at the Goolwa hotel for nearly ten years and never been disappointed once. The staff and service are great, but mostly the food both in quality and quantity is top rate. Good honest food, well cooked plus access to a well stocked and extensive Vegie/salad bar plus an assortment of breads and sauces. This really is a find, and the prices are very customer friendly.

Stopped in for lunch on the Sunday drive and was surprised with the Sunday Roast for $15.00. The main course was roast of the day and you could have either soup or dessert. We decided on the dessert which was either strawberry cheese cake or apple crumble with ice cream and cream. We had the crumble. The venue was packed but the staff were friendly and the meal was served in a reasonable time frame. Enjoyed the meal and will eat there again.
