Contribuiți la feedbackWent there with my lady for an informal date on Saturday night. Just back from Vietnam so looking for something close to genuine Vietnamese food. Atmosphere was a little too bright, and it was decorated like a beach shack. But it was otherwise a nice little joint. Service is very warm. We ate the Vietnamese pancake, razor clams in tamarind sauce and papaya vego salad. The papaya salad was great, and the pancake was also very nice if a little overcooked. Dipping sauce for the pancake was bland and watery, and would have been better served with rice paper and fresh herbs as they do back in Vietnam. That said, I'd order both again. The razor clams were a bit rubbery and the tamarind sauce was way too much. J wouldn't eat it again. The drinks were delicious. We had non-alcoholic drinks made on site. Bill was about $85.00. Vegetarian options: Papaya salad was very tasty.
It is a relatively cozy Vietnamese shop with some different Vietnamese snacks. Restaurant prices in this area are relatively high, but their Pho is $18-21, which is similar to the price in some places now. You need to pay attention to parking! The first time we saw the menu, we needed to do some research because there were many dishes we had never seen before. After being introduced by the waiter, we finally chose our first meal here and ordered: The portion of combin pho is a big bowl outside, with a lot of noodles, and the soup is very fresh and sweet! Bok choy Beef rice Stir-fried beef with vegetables and topped with rice Stew beef noodle is a special street food. I hesitated before going with special beef. The clerk said that Asians prefer street food. It tastes a lot like satay beef and some tripe. The instant noodles are not bad! And I like that beef is all lean meat! I drank the strawberry and peach yogurt recommended by the store clerk, they were delicious! Tamarind and peanuts, a thirst-quenching and appetizing drink! Then the taro cake is very good! It’s a taro egg pancake, and the dipping sauce is very important! Finally, the fried ice cream ended perfectly I'm very full after eating, probably more than 30 per person on average, and I'll want to come back to try other items!
