Contribuiți la feedbackI had lunch at this restaurant once three years ago, and visited again after a long time. I remember enjoying very carefully prepared dishes last time, but this time I tried the "one-plate lunch" that seemed to have evolved even further. The river fish quiche, mushroom gratin, bracken rice, and smoked tofu served with salad were all exquisite. The dessert and herbal tea were also very delicious. It was a series of dishes that healed my heart. The cute young lady who was not there three years ago added to the healing charm with her conversation. It's a wonderful cafe.
Whenever I visit Zao, I always make a point to stop by this café for tea. The owner personally renovated his family's home into his favorite café. The garden is filled with blooming flowers according to the season, making it a very relaxing place. The owner's handmade cakes are extremely delicious. In addition to tea, you can also have lunch here. Surrounded by antique furniture and country-style interior, I love spending teatime while looking out at the garden.
The cakes looked so delicious that I impulsively drove my car to Enokata Onsen. When I arrived at the cafe with those delectable cakes, I was disappointed to find it closed. According to their website, they are currently on hiatus and the reopening date is uncertain. I made a mistake in my plans, but I will hold onto the anticipation of their reopening as a future delight in my life.
