Jane At The Marketplace - Goleta

Came here to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary on a whim and we are so happy we did. The food was wonderful. The complimentary bread tasted fresh and was tender with a perfectly chewy crust. We got the lamb chop plate that included red chard and polenta and the mango curry chicken with rice plate. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. We finished it off with their delectable signature coconut chiffon cake. We will definitely be back.

Birthday lunch, 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 14 was great. Franny was our friendly server who never missed a beat even when our friends were 15 minutes late. I have been singing her praise all week. Both the hostess and Franny kindly wished me Happy Birthday as we were seated and as we left. As always, the coconut cake the three of us ordered was moist and delicious. The other person enjoyed a brulee. The staff made us feel special.

OMG! The filet mignon was stellar, best we'd ever had. Better than Ruth's Chris, Chart House AND all other steakhouses we've been. Contrary to most other steak houses in southern California, it came with two vegetable sides so a complete meal with vegetable and potato, making it one of the BEST VALUES anywhere near here.

I visited the Goleta location about 6 months ago and the dish I got was excellent. Came back recently and ordered the same thing. The plate came out differently with slightly different items than listed in the menu. The dish was still delicious; breaking it down to either seasonal ingredients, a run out, or a new chef. The environment is very chill and quiet, you never realize how busy they are until you step inside always full of locals. I look forward to visiting again and trying more items. Very interested to see what opens next door as the two restaurant buildings have worked closely together for years.

On a whim stopped here after shopping. We had just the most amazing lunch. The food was fantastic and our server was pleasant and very attentive. Will definitely make this my go to place when we are in Goleta.
