Range Sports Grill - Golden

Excellent menu with a lot of variety. Wild boar was awesome. Only complaint was it was a little slow.

We ate here on our last day and it was best place we ate while in Canada.i had bone in ribeye and it was delicious.Great atmosphere and service.

I arrived shortly after a tour group had arrived, the server told me there would be a slight delay in serving my food, that was understandable, she demonstrated respect for me. They have good beer selection as well.

Dined on the newly renovated patio, fantastic! Service was really good. The food (Salmon burger and Clubhouse sandwich) was very nicely prepared and presented. Prices were very reasonable. Worth stopping by when you are travelling to Golden.

Golden is a bit of a no mans land and is really the sort of place to just stop over on route to break the long journey to the national parks. Despite the number of hotels the choice of eating places is limited and uninspiring We had a couple of nights stay so had the opportunity to look around. The Range was a bit of a gem overall and head and shoulders above the competition. The service was excellent and friendly, the menu varied and the overall quality of the food first class and reasonably priced. The downside for me was the quite loud dreary blues music and the large tv screens that can be seen from every angle but then it does promote itself as a sports bar. The view from the big front window of the setting sun over the mountains made up for it, pity there was a Chevron petrol station in the way and a massive Kenworth truck and trailer but that's Golden.
