Eagle's Eye Restaurant - Kicking Horse Mountain Resort

Great view, good food, decent service, but a little pricey for a salad and a beer or two! They cancelled our dinner reservation due to a staff shortage?

Well worth the gondola trip up, clearly marked and timed walks along ridge line trails to trek and circle back to eat at the Eagles Eye. The food is really well done and served with smiles. Everyone here is slightly humbled by the extent of the views from the restaurant and surroundings - which is a good thing. You could be adventurous and hire mountain bikes to gondola up and hare down for around $220 Canadian including all the insurance you'll ever need, but actually, just being there is really the point. Take a windcheater as the winds can just pop up when least expect them. And remember to breathe properly, this is one of the best places to exhale in Golden.

Need to get a grip and ensure they have the staff to deliver a service! Being short staffed and having to close for a wedding function is poor when there are visitors wanting to enjoy the area. Very shoddy Eagles Eye!!

We would love to give a huge shout out to our amazing server Brandi from Banff. Her wine , beer and Truffle fries suggestion were exactly what we were looking for. She was funny, fast always checking on us. And very knowledgeable about the area and Banff ( LOTS of tips and suggestions) which was our next destination. Wasn't along wait for drinks or food. We will be coming back on our way back through and we will be asking for Brandi !! Thanks Brandi

Have had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant yearly but have been dissappointed on the last few trips. Our most recent experience had us waiting at the door for 20 minutes, just to be told there was a 20 wait for a table. Now, I don't mind waiting as there is plenty to look at.....but I do mind several staff members (5) walking by us without so much as a "I'll be right with you" or any acknowledgement of our presence. They were clearly understaffed. When the hostess did come over, she said, "it's a 20 minute wait", and then walked away. When we did eat there last year, the staff was only marginally more friendly, the food only ok....but overall this place has sadly gone downhill. Still worth the view, but would suggest the Peak's Grill at the base for friendly service.
