Barnacle Bill - Golden Grove

Simple delicious seafood. okay, it's not good to eat, but if I'm a seafood mix that's mainly crooked and fried, I'm going here. very often. they love the simple lemon pepper tartaric acid. loves the generous amount of garnel you get. all great. fish is never dry or overcooked. had never had a bad eating of this barnacle bill.

We have barnacle bill because my friend has great childhood memories of it. we shared a Bouunty pack, which includes 3 “fish” fillings, some stringy calamari, garnel and spring rolls. it tasted all the same to me, with little to distinguish the taste of the various objects. I wouldn't throw it back because I'd rather have a local fish N chip shop.

How can you go wrong with a hot lunch for $10. It keeps us coming back. A piece of fish, golden chips, garnish salad, coleslaw and tartare presented on a rectangle plate, plus a soft drink is good value. A big fish artwork would glam up the interior. Recommended.

Much of what one would expect from Barnacle Bill , which is somewhat a comfort .Food was fresh and tasty and hot . Have had some previous bad experiences with this one and hadn't visited in quite a while , but they appear to have picked up their act . Much much better .

Pretty simple eatery specializing in fried stuff, simple service, simple everything but quite all right. Tartar sauce has a fatty and soapy taste and coleslaw is marginal ok. The rest of the food though is quite good.
