If you're looking for genuine Chinese dishes, rather than the typical Aussie Chinese style found at RSLs, then this is the place to visit.
Good customer services n friendly staff! But the store actually is not easy to spot, hidden in a lane. The food overall is nice but not really that so authentic of Taiwanese food. It’s still not more mixture with the Chinese heavier taste( I mean like more salty n spicy). But if you do really miss the Taiwanese food in Australia, it’s a cozy place to give it a try. We’ve tried beef noodles n some deep fried snacks, the broth n the beef is nice. Just a bit too salty to me as a Taiwanese taste:P
I tried the spicy braised beef noodle soup and it was delicious! I left feeling very satisfied. The broth was flavorful and the beef was tender. It had just the right amount of spice. I also had a refreshing lemon tea. I sat outside but there is also indoor seating available. It's a small place with limited seating, but definitely worth a try if you're craving good noodle soup. I noticed a lot of people enjoying the smoked salmon with rice, so it must be a popular choice!
Came across this wondering through the 'China Town ' in progress. My favourite is the Satay....possibly the best i 've had, fresh tasting; seasonal vegetables, a good hit of spice and available in an excellent value lunch combo (with rice, prawn crackers and a drink). They have about 10 other options on the same lunch combo...
During our stay in Carrara, we were in search of authentic Chinese cuisine and stumbled upon Taiwan Dami in Southport. Known for their delicious cuisine, Taiwan Dami did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Although parking may be a bit of a challenge, especially if you are dining in, I highly recommend trying the sizzling chili lamb for a sit-down meal. Don't forget to bring your own drinks!
