Mariners Cove - Gold Coast

I would never go back to the fish and chips shop or recommend it. The fish and chips were terrible - the fish was burnt and had to be sent back, but even after another try, it was still overcooked and disgusting. The potato cake didn't even have any potato in it, just batter. I suggest trying the much better and cheaper fish and chips meals at the Tavern next door.

I stayed at the YHA and explored the nearby cafes and shops. I enjoyed grabbing coffee at Main Street and Hogs Breath, but it was frustrating that Ezymart always seemed to be closed whenever I needed something, even in the morning with just a "on break" sign. Despite that, I would definitely visit again.

I have to agree with Marie T. I have never tasted better Fish and Chips' anywhere else. The fish has a thin' batter and the chips are cooked through with a golden' colour and are CRISPY'. The place is clean. The menu is adequate. The...prices (for the Gold Coast) are Cheap And the staff are friendly and approachable. I want them to move closer to where I live.

This restaurant is good for a quick stop as an eatery... fast service... basic food and drinks ... Nothing too fancy but OK if in a hurry and hungry.. I found it quite noisy as it was very busy with people coming and going... But...OK !

Mariners cove . SeaWorld drive has a new fish and chips shop.. behind Hoggs Breath. .in front of the famous fishos pub .. The value and quality is unbelievable. . You get large pieces of fish cooked either crumbed. Grilled. Or battered .....served with chips for under !! They are licensed with quite reasonable prices too. Highly recommend. . Quick friendly service too
