And friendly service. Was staying in the hotel and grabbed an early morning Flat White before meeting a colleague. Chatty friendly service. Coffee as good as you'd get in the best of Surry Hills or Potts Point.

6 of us went for a high tea (at lunch time).The defining trait of this experience was the exceptional service (not an accolade I commonly use). The wait staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for them. One of the chefs (who also made an appearance) made a significant gaffe with my meal (I ordered vegetarian), but they apologized profusely and bent over backwards to make good.The items were beautifully presented and a visual treat, and although very much on the sugary side, the chefs clearly knew what they were doing.They could have earned a 5 star review by having a greater selection of savory items (or maybe offering it as an alternative) - we found the selection to be extremely heavily weighted to sweet foods. As a result, we took some home with us as even the kids could not manage that much sugar!

Would not recommend the high tea at Fixx Cafe. No atmosphere as the cafe is in the hotel foyer, food was below average. Service was good and chefs were nice. But the food was a bit of a disaster. We had a large group booking and most of the sweet trays were left untouched. The sweet tray is supposed to look savory and the savory tray is supposed to look sweet. The chefs nailed this, but what they totally missed out on was that almost everything on the savory tray actually tasted sweet. The savory "tomato macaroon" was sweet, the pork buns were sweet, the savory eclairs were sweet, same went for the savory doughnut. And the sweet tray was so full of artificial colours that everything felt like a sweetness overload. I've seen photos of some of the savory trays with sushi but we didn't get any sushi on ours. I've read other reviews on here and it gets rated fairly high but unfortunately it wasn't my cup of tea and the same goes for the guests I dined with. Herbal tea and service was good and the chefs are very creative with the look of the food. I also think $40 is a bit pricey for what we got but that may be attributed tot he fact that we didn't enjoy anything.

The food on offer was typical cafe menu of a slider, chicken wings and drinks with the expensive hotel price tag. It is convenient for hotel guests but we wouldn't go out of our way to dine at the QT hotel.

I came here with my mum and sister for a special occasion. The high tea was different to your standard high tea but my god it was INCREDIBLE!!!!! Absolutely awesome, couldn't recommend more. Beautiful location and lovely service!!!
