Good Franconian delicacies, great beer selection and nice service. Unfortunately, there are not all dishes on the website.
Was I really here? When I read the other articles, I doubt myself, because somehow everything was different... We were invited. A table was reserivered. This one was in the place where one else has the emergency plans when it becomes surprisingly too full. We should have got a better table without reservation. Merkposten 1: Don't make a table here. The controls (it was three or four different) were partially totally spoiled. The menus were taken away before everyone was there, then they should be ordered without the menus coming back. Only on demand came the menus. 2: Learn the menu best before going to this inn! So the drinks were ordered without a card. We noticed how many drinks were not offered here. Beverages that were ordered large or small were listed as such, but they got what was there. Merkposten 3: For drinks expect surprises! The menu was surprisingly small. On the Internet it was called a selection from the menu . The virtual menu had only the name in common with the real menu. Otherwise there was little overlap. The real menu was by no means bigger than the one on the Internet, at best just as extensively without hints: selection of dishes... Merkposten 4: Don't count that you get really what from the few things to read on the internet. The food came clockwise. First, a dish that lasted the longest from the preparation. When half of it was fed, the next two dishes came. Then the operation discovered no. 4 (or so) that we hadn't got any salad yet. So it was also delivered before after a further minute the last in the clockwise direction got their food. The first person was finished at the time. 5: Just don't expect you to eat together and get the meals served in the usual order. Tastefully it was also anything but a highlight: burned scavengers, taste-neutral red cabbage (has really no taste), dark and hard pommes, ... Our hosts told that in the week before, two buses did stop there. This explained a lot to us: Here you do not place value on guest and class, but on mass. Note 6: As a bus traveler who has no choice, you can stop it here. As one who wants a halfway normal meal, the question remains: Why am I doing this in here? I don't know if I ever come back to Gößweinstein. But if I do, I just know one thing. Not here anymore!
