Cote Brasserie Godalming

This restaurant has a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, with friendly staff. However, we did encounter a small issue with one part of our breakfast that we had to send back because they had run out of that ingredient. They were very apologetic and offered us a discount, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, this did impact our overall experience, so I had to take away one star. Otherwise, everything else was excellent!

I had a really disappointing experience with the fixed-price meal. The braised lamb parmentier was overly minty and mostly just mashed potatoes. The squid was poorly prepared and almost childlike in its presentation. I had a fantastic à la carte meal here last month, so I was really surprised by the difference in quality with the fixed menu.

The restaurant has an elegant atmosphere with friendly staff. The food and portion sizes are great, and they offer a nice selection of desserts. However, the top of the crème brûlée could have been a bit crisper.

They do not serve until 12:30 lunch so that we have not eaten with them; we went home instead. very annoying.

A lovely meal as always here the manager was so welcoming, ambience great and food wonderful! I love eating here :
