El Tradicional Mexican And Cantina

I give this restaurant 3 stars solely because the food and drinks are quite good. Unfortunately, the service is consistently disappointing. I've only experienced good service here once. If you're planning to dine here, be prepared to be patient, as the waitstaff could definitely use some better training. They also have a habit of closing early, which is frustrating. Despite the service issues, the quality of the food and drinks keeps bringing me back. If they improved their service, they could easily become one of the top restaurants in the area. In contrast, the Yard House across the street excels in service, making it a more appealing choice. It's disheartening to dine here when the waitstaff seems to carry such a negative attitude while serving customers.

Not a good night. While the food is always good the drinks enjoyable, this night was ruined by very long waits, really poor service rude excuses. Drinks too more than 15 mins to arrive then weren't as ordered. We gave up on dessert after waiting15+minutes to get a server to take order then canceled, paid bill left after waiting more than 40 mins. Amazingly, as wepaid, dessert was packed to go despite us declining it just wanting to pay go in frustration as this further prolonged usleaving Being lectured on their short staff complaining about us taking it out on them when it is kitchen's fault didn'thelp. Such a bummer because we love the food atmosphere, but not enough to chance this experience again

We began our meal with the guacamole and freshly made nachos, which were still warm when they arrived. I tasted their mango margarita and absolutely loved it; it was so refreshing. The tostadas were also delightful, coming in a portion of three, which was more than enough for me. Everything we ordered was delicious.

When our food finally arrived, we noticed that they served the guacamole and other sauces in small plastic cups typically used for takeout pizza. We found that strange. To top it off, we noticed a 20% gratuity fee added to our bill, which we weren’t informed about at the beginning, and it wasn’t mentioned on the menu either. If a 20% service fee is being charged, there should actually be service to justify it. We decided not to pay that extra charge.

I have dined at the two previous Mexican cuisine restaurants in this location at the Glen. I was so impressed with the food quality, variety, and deliciousness at El Tradicional. And service was wonderful. Thank you for bringing your brand to theGlen. We will be back again and again!
