The fish dishes here are fantastic! Although we’re moving soon, we plan to visit at least once a month for our fish dinner. Please don’t disappoint us! The portion sizes are large, so one serving is more than enough. The food is delicious and consistently well-prepared for our family—you’ll always find a friendly atmosphere. I honestly can’t believe there are negative reviews; we’ve only had one issue with the chips in all the years we’ve been coming here. The crispy batter on the fish is unbeatable compared to any soggy delivery options!

I've been visiting this fish and chip shop for years, but the recent change in ownership has not improved things. The quality has become quite inconsistent; I've noticed overcooked items, and the steak pie is no longer as good as it used to be. The chips are much smaller than they used to be as well. On the plus side, I've always found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. However, there seems to be a lack of training regarding food terms and presentation. For instance, a "blaggis" is not the same as haggis, and one of my orders came with black pudding that was not properly cut in half. The only reason I still visit this chippy is because it’s local and convenient for us.
