Ladyjay's Seafood - Glennville

Went downhill fast. Now apparently out of business. Meal was so bad we never went back, permanently closed now.

Thought you couldn't get decent carryout seafood in Glennville?? Well think again! My husband and I decided to give LadyJay's Seafood a try tonight for dinner. I am so glad that we did!! We had shrimp Po Boys, french fries, and hush puppies. As an added bonus, we had the Oreo cheesecake and regular cheesecake with strawberry and melon topping, that was ANYTHING but regular. Let's start with the shrimp Po Boy. Perfectly seasoned, fresh shrimp on a delicious hoagie bun, topped with lettuce and tomatoes. It was mouthwatering by itself, but I also ended up adding some of their homemade tartar sauce, which was just the right touch! Unbelievable!! The fries were perfectly fried with a dash of seasoning on top that was just right. The hush puppies too, were fried to perfection; soft and warm on the inside and crispy on the outside. The Oreo cheesecake was creamy and absolutely delectable!!! It was topped off with chocolate and caramel sauce and two pats of whipped cream on each side. The regular cheesecake was appetizingly sweet with a perfect counter balance of strawberry and melon topping that added a burst of flavor to each bite. I had the added pleasure of meeting the owner of LadyJay's while I waited for my food to be cooked.....from scratch (soooo good). She was so passionate about the dishes they create. It was such a pleasure to hear how joyful she is about all the exciting and DELICIOUS plans that LadyJay's has for the very near future. It made my heart smile to see how happy and proud her and her staff are of the food they make out of love for us, the public. I usually do not write such impassioned reviews, but I was absolutely overwhelmed with joy and excitement for the future of LadyJay's, that I felt it important to share. When I got home and everyone in the house was eating, smiling, and talking about what a delicious change this was, it pleased my soul. Thank you, LadyJay's. I really don't want to go into particulars but it wasn't the experience the wife and I expected. That's as safe as I can put it.

The establishment is clean, with friendly service and really good food. Tried your lunch special today/ catfish nuggets with fries, delicious ! Thanks

There was no seasoning/salt on the food. Food was cold. Hushpuppies were overdone. Slow service.
