The Rocks Restaurant - Glenelg

Very reasonable drink prices backed up by a frozen pizza base with a topping that covered 60% of the dish. Salt & Pepper Squid minus the squid with extra salt was really disappointing. The place had a great vibe but was unfortunately let down by food created in a backpackers kitchen

Took family there last Saturday for a celebration. We had lamb curry, pork, fish and burger dishes (and nuggets for the little one as normal). All were average and nothing special. Cost with 2 glasses of wine and soft drinks was $170. For me not value for money.

Had dinner several times here, plenty of choice also have kids menu. Service good and food well presented and hot. Thai menu has plenty of variety,

Having been here before when it was Cafe Blu we thought we knew what we were getting. Waited 15 minutes after being seated before anyone bothered to come and take our order for food and drinks. Couple next to us ordered drinks after us and theirs came before ours.Was just about to walk out when food finally arrived (30 minutes after we had sat down). My wife had sweet and sour pork and it was really good, food was hot and tasty. Can't say the same for my lamb which was luke warm at best when it arrived.Not good value or service, there are plenty of other eateries in Glenelg that we will be trying next time.

Very enjoyable midweek lunch, fantastic seaside location and friendly service. We had the rack of lamb special and vegetable stir-fry from the Thai menu, both excellent. Will be back. Only slight disappointment was that we were told that the window tables were reserved but all were empty throughout our lunch. Would book a table by the window next time.
