Marugame Udon - Glendale

My overall expectations for the place were definitely met. The place was relatively clean, the staff were friendly, yet slightly confusing, and the food... was mostly good, except for the fact that the chicken meatballs tasted like sh*t. Their tea was nice and refreshing, and the sauce was tasty, yet it reminded me and my friends of Arby?s sauce! ????

I got the Curry Nikutama Udon which was $15! The curry was super thick and amazingly flavorful! We got all of the toppings Green onions, tempura flakes, and ginger which went perfectly together! It was such an easy and quick lunch. I was in and out within 15 minutes! The workers are very friendly too, and there?s lots of seating. If you don?t finish your food, they have a station with bags and to go containers as well.

Super happy to hear Marugame Udon reopened in Glendale Galleria! This cafeteria style udon shop is located in DTLA and West LA but it's nice to have a location where parking isn't a mission. They offer a variety of delicious udon with various toppings. The curry udon here is really yummy, but my favorite is the Nikutama udon. It has a delicious sweet beef broth, topped with beef and a perfectly cooked egg ready to be popped! They weigh everything so it's veryconsistent. After you pick up your bowl of delicious noodles, you then make your way down the chow line to pick up extra snacks to munch along with your meal. I usually want to grab every single tempura I see, but I try to limit myselfbecause it does get pretty filling! My favorite tempura is the kabocha, sweet potato, tamago and zucchini! So glad to have this back in Glendale! Perfect for the cool weather that's fast approaching.

Exceeded my taste bud levels. Had the Chicken teriyaki bowl with Udon/Noodles and a green tea. The chicken was greatly cooked, the texture and teriyaki sauce were amazing. Udon noodles were full of flavor. The green tea itself is very refreshing. Great establishment to dine at.
