Hokkai Sushi - Glen Ellyn

Sushi here is mediocre. Lots of rice to fill you up. The roll is mostly rice. Ordered the shumai didn?t like it. Was told have to eat it or pay. Made them take it back after insisting and talking to 3 employees. Asked for teriyaki sauce was not authentic at all. Scallops are good. Bathroom had no hand soap. Definitely not worth the price. Overall just a restaurant trying to make money filling people up on rice. Oh also servers are rude and have attitude.

AYCE!! The sushi is delicious and some of them are unique. The staff was attentive quick. The atmosphere is really nice. Makes for a cute date. The only downside was the size of the sushi. Things that said 8 pieces came as 5 giant hunks. Also the amount of cream cheese used was excessive.

My wife says this is some of the best sushi around. We ordered it through DoorDash, and it arrived fresh.

The service was excellent. However, the all-you-can-eat option didn't seem worth it. If you’re charging $30, don’t serve sushi rolls that are the size of a tennis ball. Additionally, the eel and tuna had an unusual taste.

First of all, the sushi here is fantastic. In my opinion, it's one of the best spots in the Chicago area. The restaurant is clean, and they offer a wide variety of sushi options. The only drawback is that the service can be a bit brusque. The waitstaff can come off as somewhat rude, and customer service is important to me when dining out. However, overall, it's a great place that I would definitely recommend!
