Service is almost non existent... Went upstairs and the place was filthy. Every table covered in food and dirty dishes. Food is generally good if you like extra hair in it... Yo be avoided.

Love it but servings are small - so buy 2 - they are good :) Authentic Japanese And sake They also do Japanese groceries and check out the wall art

Once upon a time Tokyo Deli was across the road - a cute little deli with a small take away food section at the back with cheap, fresh Japanese food.And then they moved, expanded, renovated and for some reason, got worse.I've tried to remain loyal, but the place is just slipping. I can tolerate the lack of service, the surly unprofessional staff and the $20 minimum on credit card use but to be charged for condiments is a final straw. But when you're repeatedly served dishes with such minimal amounts of sauce - the value just isn't there anymore, which is sad.I'm not sure how much the owner has to do with the day to day running of Tokyo Deli - but it's time he/she got involved and gave it a good shake up. It just won't survive serving average food in small servings and inflated prices much longer.

We love Tokyo Deli...for lunch, dinner or a snack. Always prepared fresh and quality you can trust. Friendly staff. Great range of Japanese groceries too. Take away available too and reasonable prices.

Once a good place, its now going downhill. Katsudon was drench in broth, flavorless and soggy katsu! Chilli pwdr is 50c!
