The Meatball & Wine Bar - Glen Eira

Dinner with a largish group. Food was great - I had plain spaghetti and meatballs and it was really good. Good selection of meatball dishes and sides. No complaints from the table. Save room for the delicious ice cream sandwiches at the end!

We had a lovely meal here, quick and easy, with the waiter/manager helping us choose. We had beef meatballs with tomato sauce and pasta, and pork meatballs with a green sauce and mash. Both delicious with a touch of chilli oil added and a large chunk of bread to soak up the sauce. We were even asked if we would like additional sauce.The service was very good. Well done to the team here.

Had Mother's Day lunch here with 6 adults and 2 children. The food was bland to be polite, I asked for any type of chilli to give it flavour and was directed to the chilli oil on the table that had gone off ( worked that one out after putting it on my food) Meals are thrown together in a very messy way - not very appetising. We requested the bill ( had to wait 20 minutes and ask again) and of $260 be split in 2 which the reply was we don't do that, you'll have to work it out yourself - not great customer service. Waiters working there were having a better time chatting and singing behind the bar than actually checking if anyone needed any attention.

I not one to complain but we ordered a couple of your meatball dishes the food come out and looked like my grandma plated them up. The "smashed potato" taste like it's sat in the fridge for days. Maybe just a lazy badly executed way of a potato dish unseasoned no love. The cannoli beans didn't even get washed from pouring them out from the tin you could still smell the brine on them. Taste cheap and nasty if your going to do them do the correctly not from a tin at least. Cost nothing!! But the beef meatballs where seasoned well, as for the sauce I think it is only there to hide what they sit the meatballs on!!!! I'm giving it 2 star review because the bread was very good! Same for the venue it has a good feel about the place.

Great little place. Small wine list but excellent. Simple menu but well done. Not bad priced little over but not bad. Worth a visit if at what is now the end of chapel street that is happening, Windsor end.
