Contribuiți la feedbackBeautiful cafe with a lovely courtyard! Breaky board was fantastic but I would recommend ordering a side with it as it wasn’t too filling. Perfect if you’re looking for a light and cheap meal however. The coffee was delicious and smooth with amazing latte art that would have anyone taking their camera out!
We called in to Sebastians food and wine for a weekend lunch and sat in their sunny courtyard with plenty of real greenery and plenty of local chatter. Staff were friendly and organised and the menu had a good range of tempting dishes.<br/ <br/ We both agreed that the coffee was good which was a promising start and the ruby grapefruit spritz certainly had a refreshing tang to it. <br/ <br/ We tried the tasting plate of the all day brunch menu which is well worth considering if you want a selection of their favourite breakfast dishes on the one plate. It also came without bread which was good for those who want a lower carb option. The candies bacon was a treat and the cauliflower fritter was a favourite of mine. <br/ <br/ KD chose a chicken schnitzel burger from the lunch side and it was massive and that chicken schnitzel understated on the menu... made with real quality chicken and quite thick. There was a mountain of cheese and bacon to boot so a really enjoyable burger. <br/ <br/ Thanks to the team at Sebastian’s for their hospitality and delicious meal.
Just a stone throw from Hampton beach, lives a Bayside resident that’s stood the test of time. Sebastian’s, which is famed for its Straight out of Hampton Burger, is owned by one of the calmest café owners I’ve met in Melbourne. I suppose it’s hard not to be calm when you run a café that has a beachside vibe, with a courtyard that feels much like sitting in a friend’s backyard for afternoon drinks.<br/ <br/ I was fortunate enough to meet Jenny, and hear what led her journey to Hampton, after a career as a teacher. Husband Theo loved the fact Hampton is not too far from Moorabbin, where his beloved St Kilda Football Club train, and it’s no surprise the boys come down after training for the infamous Chicken Sandwich many flock to like seagulls to chips.<br/ <br/ I took the path less travelled, and ordered the Miso Greens for a healthy start to the day; while my partner was lured by the Blueberry Waffles, which were smothered in passionfruit curd and mango sorbet.<br/ <br/ If you’re coming for the afternoon, and like your Italian reds, I suggest you try the Sangiovese. I had a sneaky glass, and am now planning a trip out to the King Valley to visit the winery it dawns from.<br/ <br/ Find Sebastian right across from the Hampton train station.
It’s not hard to understand why Sebastian’s Food and Wine was packed with locals. Offering a green oasis in their courtyard, Sebastian’s menu caters to both the health conscious and those looking for their next cheat meal. We found their dishes not only creative and photogenic, but most importantly incredibly tasty and satisfying. For a relaxing brunch that’s bound to satisfy your heart and soul, Sebastian’s is the place to be.
What an amazing experience we had at Sebastian's Food and Wine!<br/ This friendly local cafe/bar in the heart of Hampton is definitely one to visit if you're in the area, or even travel across town for the experience.<br/ Great space on the corner with heaps of different seating options, outside, inside or out the back with great lighting for photos!<br/ <br/ Drinks: We had a couple of drinks, classic Pimms cup and and Mango Smoothie. Both chilled and done to perfection<br/ <br/ Steak Sandwich $20: Eye fillet, lettuce, tomato relish, seeded mustard mayo, bacon, onion rings, tomato and cheese on pumpkin sourdough with fries.<br/ Personally we're not usually a big fan of sandwiches, but this one by the Sebastian's team blew us away! The steak was perfectly cooked, not too tough, bread was crisp, flavour balanced very well. <br/ <br/ Waffles $18: Blueberry waffle, passionfruit curd, caramelised coconut, raspberry coulis, mango sorbet, hazelnut crumble. <br/ No joke the best waffles we've ever had in Melbourne! If you're a waffle fan, this is a waffle you don't want to miss! The mix of sweet and tart, soft and crunchy was done so well we eat the waffles up before the savoury dishes. Would have this morning, afternoon or night any day!<br/ <br/ Tasting Plate $20: Triple combo of cauliflower fritter, sriracha maple glazed bacon with smashed avo egg and mini smoothie bowl.<br/ A great sampler of the awesome other dishes offered by this great cafe.<br/ <br/ Price: Definitely affordable, especially for the level of food you can enjoy!<br/ <br/ Overall: 5/5 would definitely re live, re eat and dejafood the experience again!
