Contribuiți la feedbackI cannot praise Lamb on Chapel (LOC) enough. I was first recommended to this restaurant by a Greek friend who is a real foodie, and she was right - once you've been to Lamb on Chapel, you'll never want to eat lamb anywhere else. I have been coming here for years for my weekly souvlaki fix, and it never disappoints. The custom-made lamb spit in the window has been attracting customers for 24 years, and the aroma can be smelled down Chapel St. The late owner's father was a beloved fixture at the restaurant, and his presence really made the place feel like home. The current owner, Kon, takes pride in serving delicious, tender, and juicy lamb. All of the food options are fantastic, but the lamb is truly the best in Melbourne. The menu features freshly prepared dishes, including bright salads, tangy dips, and divine treats such as galaktoboureko and baklava. The traditional Greek coffee is a must-try. At the moment, due to Covid19, LOC is offering takeaway only, so please support this wonderful establishment. The cafe is located near Commercial Road with ample parking on Chapel Street, and it stays open late. I absolutely adore this place, the owner Kon, his staff, and, of course, the amazing food.
I really enjoy the lamb souvlaki at this restaurant. The pita bread is soft and delicious, and the food is bursting with flavor.
Wow. Had always heard good things about Lamb on Chapel, and finally managed to drop by for lunch one Sunday. As soon as we walked in, our eyes went to the huge skewers of meat cooking over coals. We ordered the lamb special and chicken special (making one a meal deal to get chips and a drink to share as well). Service was fast and attentive; the gentleman behind the counter was so kind.Just as we’d heard, the souvlaki was amazing. Even the pita bread was well-toasted and tasty. It was packed full to the brim with delicious, flavourful, perfectly cooked coal-charred meat, fresh vegetables and sauce which brought everything together... my partner and I almost had to roll out of the restaurant. Can definitely see myself craving this in the future, and coming back regularly!
Enjoyed a lamb souvlaki a few nights ago after a drink. The lamb was tender and cooked perfectly.Would love to try their other souvlaki’s.Passing Chapel Street and craving a souvlaki, I recommend passing by!
Probably some of the best quality kebab/souvlaki meat I’ve ever had. Tried the lamb original and the loc special and both were unbelievable.
