Booked table online at short notice, as too gig at Hydro. Quick confirmation, excellent selection of food and good value for money.
Really friendly and attentive service with good selection of food, beautiful atmosphere and good priced food, will definitely return.
Warm food in a cold night was perfect. You could see how the steam comes from our two dishes. Very fresh.
The staff were lovely with speedy and charming interaction. Its quite a small footprint and when at full capacity one really exuberant table caused the overall volume to be pretty difficult to communicate over but it was a happy atmosphere. I was there with teenagers in the group so not problematic but can imagine would wreck a romantic mood. The food was at best average and below par in relation to one dish the seafood linguine which had seriously overcooked king prawn to the point of spongy disintegration 2 mussels completely closed out of five or six but squid was ok. The pasta which was meant to have chilli had a vaguely bland watery coating and no discernable flavour of anything not even salt. Everyone else said food was ok but nothing outstanding. One carbonara one arriabatta and one penne with ndju. The rosemary focaccia was squat and tight no air and flavour all in burnt rosemary on top. One of the teenagers ordered fries after dinner as he had gone light on starters expecting a larger portion as main. Wine had a good range to match menu items. The pricing is way in excess of the quality. They will get traffic because of the finnieston location but as a local who eats out round here all the time i wouldn't rush back, which is sad as i loved panevino when it first opened although they fell away before the change and a new name hasnt given it the lift it needed.
