Old Salty's - Glasgow

I've not even finished eating and felt the urge to recommend this place, omg the food is amazing! It's a cross between a chip shop and Italian, sounds weird but it works! My daughter had black pudding and chips, I went for an Italian dish, chicken garlic and mushroom sauce, the best I've ever tasted! Thank you so much

Went there for dinner and asked the waiter about the fish and chips. We explained to him that we had fish and chips in London and it had no flavor, he assured that this would not happen, he stated that they have won several awards for their fish and chips.Well guess what, it was bland. The mushed peas with mint was really good. The chips were ok.

Popped in for brunch on Sunday. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Immediately shown to a seat and offered drinks. The breakfast/brunch food is excellent and not expensive. The service was a wee bit on the slow side but the staff kept us informed. They had only one person at the bar so coffees were delayed. The lovely atmosphere and tasty food made up for all that. Will definitely go again. The clean toilets were down steps at the back of the ground floor.

I've been living in Glasgow for one year now, and when visitor's come to town this is the place I recommend for fish. It's excellent food with a very diverse menu. The service is top notch, too!

We didn't know this restaurant in the first place when we passed by after visiting Botanical garden. But luckily we choose this! We are very amazed at their great food, excellent service and nice atmosphere with good music. I ordered Roast chicken (although their fish and chips are must try), and it was very nicely done with creamy sauce, broccoli and mushrooms. Perfect! I like it!! Price was very reasonable. Must try!
