Hou Lok is open for late night, so we took our hungry tummies here:. The honey garlic pork is one of my favourite Chinese dishes. They have a good one here, a good balance of meat and bone and lots of sauce.
Service is good when it's not busy<br/ good food/ my favorite dishes are deep fried silverfish; oyster soup in rice; snail<br/ family friendly<br/ late night snack place<br/ good parking<br/ good price for quantity and quality<br/ would I go back? Yes
I decided to try out their late night menu as I've heard about their good prices. Each dish are $5 each. If you order over $20, they give you free congee. The portion was small of course with the price being so low. The food was average. Not bad, but nothing special. I ordered 5 dishes and one of them was silver fish with egg. The egg was very fluffy and soft, but I didn't like the shells on the silver fish (maybe it's suppose to be that way?? . The fry garlic w/ watercress was a but salty in my opinion, but my bf thought it was fine. The rest of the food was fine. The service was not bad too, the lady that served us was very friendly. Overall, I would come back to this place.
Good place for late night meals after badminton in Richmond. The 'da lang ' dishes are priced reasonably. We ordered the chicken herbal hot pot, pickled veggie with scrambled eggs, and pan fried garlic lettuce. Everything was solid except the lettuce was a bit too salty for my liking. It opens late so would be another good option over No 9 restaurant (24 hours). Service was quick.
Cheapest da lang dishes. The amount of food and the reasonable prices keeps me coming back here for late night food! the ginger egg custard dessert is also to die for as well at a whooping price of $0.88! best late night in richmond!
