Far East Coffee Co Roastery - Gisborne

The coffee at this restaurant is excellent, expertly prepared by professionals. I highly recommend trying the Easy blend. They also offer beans for sale. If you're a coffee lover visiting Gisborne, this place is a must-visit discovery.

This restaurant is a hidden gem with delicious coffee, though it can be difficult to find because there are no signs. Look for the entrance next to the Gull Fuel station, turn right at the fence, drive all the way to the end, then turn right again. I have posted some pictures with directions online. The staff is very friendly.

We found the third wave coffee at this restaurant to be on par with other top-notch coffee establishments. We stopped in three days in a row during our vacation in Gizzy and were impressed by the excellent filter coffees and reasonably priced toasties and sandwiches. The staff were friendly, lively, and hospitable.

Great coffee! Hard to find down the back of what looks like an earth moving equipment yard. We asked why no signs? They like to be low key, using word of mouth marketing. Anyway hunt it down, it's worth finding!! Best of all it was $4.50 for a large takeaway flat white.

To start this review I'd like to add, I love coffee so much that the places I can get good coffee are not so common. That being said, driving from far north to Gisborne I stopped once for coffee where I know is top class. Now I'm not saying this lightly but far East Coffee has now joined my list of 4 top coffee places in nz
