Auberge de la Ferme Saint Vallier

We had a lovely evening with good food. The host was super kind with time for all his guests. Service was very nice too. Too bad we arrived in the dark because the view over the valley from the terrace must be amazing!Definitely a place to (re)visit!

High up the side of a hill, this auberge is beautifully situated and has wonderful views across the valley. The eating places are homely rather than 'chic' but the food is tasty and served in generous portions. Highly recommended.

The first time we visited this restaurant was with some french friends of ours. As a tourist, it is not always easy to find the right restaurant with the real food from the region around. It was a sunday noon, the restaurant packed with french people in stead of tourists, which is always a good sign. I had the best salad ever with fresh greens, real bleuets ( kind of blueberries) , munster and some other tasty ingredients from the region. After that, I had a kind of ham which was really tasty with a nice potatosalad with musterd. Not easy to choose dessert, I had to choose between a creme albert (munster with gewurztraminer) and homemade fruitpie. I chose the tarte au mirabelles, obviously also made with fruit fromthe region and decided to come back some other time for the creme albert, which I did and the second time was as good as the first one. I would certainly recommend this place to people who appreciate real food from the region. In winter, try to get the table next to the fireplace. In summer, go outside and watch the sun set. Great atmosphere, great food!

High above the side of a hill, this hill is beautifully situated and has a magnificent view over the valley. the dining places are more to home than chic', but the food is delicious and served in generous portions. highly recommended.
