Ninja Sushi - Gilroy

I give this place a 3-star rating based on my personal preference. It’s a popular spot with decent sushi, but it’s not outstanding. The service was friendly and professional; my server did forget the sake I ordered after the appetizer, but she remembered later and comped it, which I appreciated. I wish I could give this place 4 stars, but there are just too many places that offer excellent sushi compared to this one. If you’re looking for higher-quality food and a more traditional atmosphere, I recommend visiting 10 Japan near the Dollar Tree. However, you can’t really go wrong at this restaurant.

Tonight, I placed a phone order for myself and my kids, the same order we usually get. They had my phone number saved and were aware of my previous orders, so it was surprising that they made so many mistakes this time. I used to enjoy Ninja Sushi, but that changed when I saw how the owners treat their staff and after spending my hard-earned money on food that never arrived. When I called back to address the discrepancies in my order, a 16-year-old employee responded with laughter and an attitude that seemed dismissive, saying something like, "Oh, good?" This was especially frustrating considering I had already paid a significant amount for the incorrect items. It's truly disappointing for this establishment and makes me reluctant to return.

I?ve been here many times and missed eating here immensely! They check your temperature upon arrival and get your name and number in case of a Covid exposure which is so considerate and greatly appreciated. We started with some tea because it was chilly and we left our sweaters at home. We ordered the tempura combo, which comes with vegetables and 2 shrimps, and the stuffed jalapeños. Both were delicious! We almost always get the tempura combo but it was our first time trying the jalapeños and they did not disappoint! They were meaty and cheesy! Our server did say they can be spicier or more mild on some days, so be aware that you might now be getting the spicy or mild jalapeños you?re hoping for. I enjoy mine either way, thank goodness. Our stars of the night were the Snow Mountain and the Golden State Warrior. I didn?t realize there was macadamia nuts in the Snow Mountain and it was such a nice surprise! It has a lot of fish on top and everything comes together so perfectly! The Golden State Warrior has mango in it and I believe some jalapeño, I only had a couple bites of this one but it was so tasty!! I highly recommend this restaurant, the staff is always friendly and attentive. The food never disappoints and the food is rightfully priced.

This is an incredible spot to enjoy being served or to choose your own sushi. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, and the staff are delightful and extremely helpful. There are large TV screens showing sports, and the bar is stocked with a wide variety of drinks. The sushi selection is outstanding, especially the Golden State Warriors roll. If you're in Gilroy, you definitely need to check this place out!
