Upon entering the restaurant, you are immediately greeted by a friendly lady who advises you how to proceed, the food is very tasty service is with a smile and polite, great play area for kids. Stunning views.
Set in the tree lined main road leading up into Bothas Hill you will find this beautiful stonehouse. The crunch of the gravel under your foot as you walk accross the parking lot towards the main entrace enhances the features of the building even more. Heading into the entrance you find a wonder little shop with lots to buy if you are not having something to eat at the restuarant. But I would recommend having a lite lunch, something to take note before sitting down is that you have to order your meal at the counter and collecting your table number. Menu is well priced with a kids option for the little ones. Best seats in the house is down in the nursery on the deck overlooking the value of a thousand hills. In time gone by the steam train used to make its way puffing up the hill while bellowing out great puffs of smoke. Be sure to check out the variety of plants in the nursery as they are fully stocked with what your garden needs to look in tip top shape. Will I go back time and again Yes Would I recommend it other people Yes
The Stonehouse Cafe is set in the beautiful nursery of Lee’s Superscapes and offers spectacular views of The Valley of a Thousand Hills. Place your order at the counter from a great selection of breakfast, burgers, sandwiches , pizza’s and more and take your seat in the tranquil settings. We opted for a burger a pizza which were very tasty. The experience was and scenery were both very enjoyable and peaceful. Will definitely be back soon.
We first visited this charming establishment on Saturday 30th September. The venue was super easy to find and upon entering the coffee shop, we were greeted by a super friendly lady who asked if this was our first time there. She easily explained how things work and directed us to our table. She very kindly adjusted the fan as it was a super hot day and she made sure we were comfortable. I really appreciated her input as to what foods they serve and which were most popular. It was easy to see that she loved her work and we really appreciated the guidance and friendliness. The food choices are wonderful and delicious and fresh. The cake selection was great too and very good. Would definitely visit again when in Durban
