Contribuiți la feedbackAs soon as you walk in, there's an unpleasant smell from the restrooms, which is noticeable from the waiting area. I initially thought the odor was coming from the restaurant itself. Now, about the food — it didn't quite meet my expectations given the prices. I ordered the Glazed Shrimp Quesadilla, but it tasted more like a quesadilla with ketchup and sour cream, and the shrimp were tiny, reminiscent of the kind you'd find in instant ramen. The beans tasted canned and lacked flavor, topped with ordinary yellow American cheese instead of something more authentic like Queso Fresco. The Tamale was a bit tough to chew due to reheating, as it had a hard bottom. The tacos were decent, but the salsa was a letdown; the green salsa was sweet, while the red one tasted mostly like plain tomatoes. The Micheladas didn't impress either; they tasted like a mix of beer, water, and tomato juice with a hint of Tajín. Overall, I left feeling full but not satisfied. The atmosphere felt more suited for an elderly crowd, which might make me reconsider returning.
The decor was nice and the staff were excellent. However, when I entered, I noticed that the floor was sticky throughout the entire restaurant. I was also disappointed to find there was no lunch menu available, and I ended up paying $20 for a cheese enchilada plate, which I believe is too pricey even for dinner. Both the red and green salsa were quite bland and lacked any real flavor. We may not return, but we might give it another shot in hopes of some improvement.
I visited this restaurant for the first time, while my wife has dined here numerous times, especially with her mother whenever she's in town. I ordered a beef and bean burrito, which was enormous and filled with delicious slow-cooked beef. My wife opted for the Mole enchiladas, and she found them equally delightful. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, but what truly made the evening memorable was the exceptional service. Just as our chips were running low, a busboy was right there to offer a refill. Our waitress, Katie, was fantastic—charming, attentive, and articulate. She listened to our inquiries, provided thoughtful answers, and made great recommendations. Katie was always present, ready to assist with a smile before we even had to ask for anything. If you decide to visit, be sure to ask for Katie; she's amazing!
Staff was very courteous. Food was good. Their beef was quite tasty but their chicken seemed under seasoned. It is a popular place so you need to arrive early, or expect to wait.
Beautiful decoration, great staff. the floor was sticky, the whole restaurant. then I was surprised not to find lunch menu, and paid $20 for a cheese enchilada teller I think is too much even at dinner. both red and green salsa were bland without seasoning. we will probably not be back, but can try to see if there are improvements.
