Cafe Rio Mexican Grill - Gilbert

I ordered a Tres Leches because I was tempted by the picture of strawberries and cream. Unfortunately, mine was plain and didn’t taste very good. It was quite soft, but I didn’t finish it since it didn’t resemble what was shown in the picture, making it quite dull. I ordered a soda but opted for horchata instead, as I can’t drink soda, which was a significant downside for me. On a positive note, the other food and sauces were enjoyable.

The portion sizes are reasonable, but the quality is quite poor. The beans are overcooked, the tortillas are dry and stale, the sauce lacks flavor, and the sweet pork is not sweet at all. While I've had decent experiences at other locations, this one consistently disappoints.

The quality of the meat was poor, and the food arrived cold, which did not meet my expectations. This was my second time ordering from this location, and it has not delivered. I'm not sure why we chose this restaurant, as there are three closer options available.

I placed an online order, and it was missing some essential ingredients. Both of my orders were missing black beans and rice, even though these items were clearly marked on the receipt. It's no wonder the restaurant was empty, which is not the experience I typically expect from Cafe Rio.

This is by far the worst Cafe Rio I have ever visited. I highly recommend avoiding it. The food tasted as if it had been sitting out all day.
