We booked this restaurant, a 20 minute walk from our campsite, for 1:00 pm , however, we decided to eat a little earlier and the restaurant staff were very accommodating. This restaurant looks lovely and the interior is just as charming with unusual stunning chairs; very stylish. Tables were spacious and well-spaced. The menu gave everyone a lot of choice from tots to gourmands. The pricing was spot-on and the excellent local wines, Chinon were bargains. (Recommend Charles Pain) I had a tuna and smoked salmon starter Jeanne had samosas; both tasty and plentiful. For the mains I had braised pork and Jeanne a manta filet both excellent. My dessert was a lime cake, lovely, and Jeanne had some gorgeous profiteroles. We can thoroughly recommend this great little restaurant that is very popular restaurant. Staff were first-class. We decided to have our final lunch of our holiday here and we were really happy with everything about the place. The location is excellent, easy to find in the centre of the town but lovely and quiet at the same time. We sat in the first floor dining room as our group was quite large (10 people) and there were another couple of groups of a similar size but there was still plenty of room. The ambience of the place was lovely . It had a nice modern decor with suitable background music and lighting. We found all the staff really friendly and helpful throughout our meal. There was a nice choice of modern and traditional French lunches, ranging from burgers to plat de jour (Fresh Hake an seasonal vegetables. Prices ranged from 12.95 for 2 courses to 15.95 euros for 3. The children's menu was also very good value. Three choices depending on the age of the children. Prices ranged from 7.95 to 11.95 euros for a 3 course meal. The food was exquisite and well presented, as you would expect from a French restaurant. I would recommend a visit here to anyone who is in the area, it really is a gem of a place.
Charming little restaurant in a sleepy town. The food was tasty, 3 meals to choose from if you're doing the set menu. The burgers looked fab too if you have a fussier eater. 3 of us had 3 courses each, 1 cocktail, 1 wine, 1 beer, juice for around €54. We sat out in the courtyard, under some sails. Lovely friendly service.
Chic little restaurant in a charming village. The welcome was warm service very friendly despite our fledgling grasp of French. Food was tasty there was a decent range of wine beers plus the odd cocktail. Choose between the sweet outdoor patio tables or handful of covers inside. The village is sleepy but this place was brimming seemed to be at the heart of things.
