Lunitas Mexican Eatery - Gibsons

We arrived without a reservation on a Friday night (my mistake), but the wonderful staff graciously allowed us to sit at a table until it was needed for the reservation. They were incredibly kind and the food was absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend the street corn—it was truly an incredible meal!

We enjoyed the corn and a couple of fantastic entrees—so delicious! Haley was absolutely wonderful. She was managing the bar, taking our orders, delivering food and drinks, and even chatting with us now and then. In today's world, tipping is often expected, but Haley truly deserves it for her exceptional attention to detail and customer service. The food was also extraordinary. What a hidden gem! If you’re on the Sunshine Coast and don’t stop by Lunitas, you’re really missing out.

On the bright side, the food itself was quite delicious. The taco and burrito were really good, but the rice and beans that came with the meal were disappointing—they were dry and tasteless, and I felt like I could have made better myself. I think I'll give Lunita's another chance, as it might have just been an off day for my server or the kitchen.

Great experience here. Tortilla chips with the pineapple-serrano sauce exceeded expectations. They can get quite busy so plan accordingly.

It was a great place for gluten-free options. The view was spectacular, and while service was a bit slow, my shredded pork carnitas, with a side of rice and beans, were delicious.
