Kel's Diner - Gibbstown

I'm not a local, so I might be viewing things a bit differently. This diner doesn't seem focused on attracting the Yelp crowd or travelers passing by on the highway. I suspect they're quite content catering to locals who don't need gimmicky decor or trendy kale chips. Fortunately, this diner offers neither. In fact, I'd struggle to even say they have any decor at all. What they do provide is solid, uncomplicated food at reasonable prices. I tried a buffalo chicken wrap, which was flavorful and appeared to feature quality ingredients. Everything else at our table also looked appetizing. The fries were a highlight, and I don't say that lightly. Many places serve subpar fries, but these were perfectly golden and crispy, just how I like them. The service was quick, but I must admit it fell a bit short. While the owners were very welcoming, our server was quite quiet, leading to some mix-ups with our orders. However, these were easily resolved. I’d say that this is their main area for improvement, though it’s hard to mention, as it seems like the staff might be going through a rough patch right now.

This is a charming hometown diner where Jen, the owner, knows nearly everyone by name! Whether you’re stopping by after a visit to the plant or just spending time with the grandkids, this is the perfect spot to go!

This is my second restaurant visit today, and it seems like there’s nothing to eat around here. This diner is closed as well.
