The anticipation of savoring the menu’s offerings quickly faded as each minute crept by. Not wanting to give up, we decided to take action and tried to catch the attention of a passing server. My boyfriend raised his hand and politely said, "Excuse me," but his efforts were met with noticeable indifference, leaving us utterly confused. The time that should have marked our excitement turned into a frustrating reminder of being overlooked. Despite arriving promptly for our 7:15 reservation, we felt stuck in an unreal time loop, watching the clock tick to 7:40 without any acknowledgment from the staff. Finally, we agreed that waiting any longer was futile. It's disappointing that all the accolades about the restaurant's exceptional food were drowned out by the deafening silence of neglected tables and ignored customers. The tales of delicious success and culinary adventures were overshadowed by the grim reality of poor customer service. An evening that began with such promise ultimately soured due to the apathy surrounding us, serving as a cautionary tale for anyone expecting a dining experience beyond just a meal. I had especially high hopes for this occasion since it was meant to celebrate my boyfriend’s hard-earned work promotion. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
We made a reservation for a regular dinner, with no special occasion in mind. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and since we arrived early, there were only a few other diners present. Initially, the staff was excellent, but as more customers came in, our attentive waiter seemed to vanish — it felt like a game of hide and seek. I don’t think he did this on purpose, but it was clear that he frequently tended to a particular gentleman dining alone who arrived after us. This man was obviously a regular; the waiter promptly served him wine and food, constantly refilling his glass while we waited for our drinks. The gentleman finished two salads, a full bottle of wine, dessert, and then left a hefty tip before heading out, all in record time. I understand that taking care of loyal customers is important, and tips matter to waitstaff, but keeping new guests waiting isn’t the best approach for business. If prioritizing big spenders is the strategy, perhaps waiters should ask new customers about their financial status upfront — then maybe we would have received better attention. Overall, the food was good, and the place was nice.
This restaurant is amazing! I had one of the best meals of my life. The vibe was cool yet welcoming. Our server Destiny was awesome! It was perfection from start to finish! I had the kona crusted filet oscar style. It was superb, the best steak I ever had. My sister had the NY strip and my nephew had the bone in ribeye, again both were outstanding. For apps we had the cajun shrimp and pork belly, and I had the oysters on the half shell. The oysters were impeccable, served So clean and cold. And the pork belly and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Our sides were Brussel sprouts which were so absolutely delicious that no other brussel sprouts will ever measure up. And we had the bake potato which was big enough to feed the three of us. For Dessert We had the creme brulee and tiramisu which were equally as amazing as our apps and entrees. The service was spot on and the progression of the meal was perfect. The beautiful view lakeside is the cherry on top here. Whether you go for drinks or an intimate dinner please just go! This incredible dining experience will keep us coming back!!!
This is absolutely an amazing place to go for a very nice dinner or fancy occasion. The atmosphere is romantic and comfortable. The food is amazing. I recommend the steaks, they are always cooked perfectly and delicious! The tuna tartar is a great appetizer. The lobster Mac and cheese has big chunks of fresh lobster in it, it’s very enjoyable. To drink- the blood orange margarita is my favorite!
My wife and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and this was our first visit to the restaurant. Our waitress, Destiny, was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the shrimp cocktail, which featured four exceptionally large shrimp served with cocktail sauce. I ordered the special, swordfish topped with chimichurri sauce, while my wife opted for the filet rubbed with Konami spices and topped with crab meat and gorgonzola sauce. Both dishes were exceptional, and the sides of sautéed broccoli and Lyonnaise potatoes complemented them perfectly. The craft cocktails were also excellent. I can’t recommend the Chop House highly enough! It offers fabulous food, incredible service, and an upscale yet casual atmosphere.
