Sottosopra Drink - Giardini-naxos

I have been in countless bars which look at inviting as this all over the world but when I was 'told ' by a young waitress to put my mask over my face just for one step onto the pavement (then take it off after 2 seconds) it put me right off. The place was buzzing, we went up the stairs and sat in the corner at a table made from a large oak barrel. Waited an eternity for the waitress to finish talking to her friends who were leaving then finally got to order 2 sambuca shots which were 10 Euros and tiny. We did get rewarded with some crisps though so all in all.. we got the bill after 15 minutes waiting again and nobody said thanks or goodbye. The staff here seemed more interested in dancing to the music (Queen) and chatting up the teenagers, despite the age range here being 18 80. It was closed for days in early September maybe for staff training?

After visiting many restaurants with poor service and identical menus, this was a refreshing experience. The waiter was very friendly, even translated all the dishes of the day from Italian and offered us a doggy bag when we struggled to finish our cheese plate. There were a lot of vegetarian options beyond the usual Caprese, Norma and Marinara. Highly recommended!

This was the one place that not only had excellent food and service, but also offered something different from all the other restaurants on the beach that seem to have the exact same menu. We enjoyed a lovely dinner here. The menu has quite a few vegetarian and vegan options, we saw 2 vegetarian burgers and 2 vegan burgers besides the pasta options. They also have a terrace in the back where you can smoke, if the front one is full. We had excellent service and our waiter was very nice and attentive, and had many recommendations and suggestions. They also had live saxophone music on Saturday when we were there, very nice and chill. Closed on Thursdays!

Mangiato bene, ottimo servizio in un ambiente un po' frenetico.

Izvrsna hrana, presimpatican kuhar i konobari, no za moj ukus malo prebrza atmosfera i za moje uho prezivcana muzika. Doci pojesti popiti i nasmijati se ali ne se predugo zadrzati
