It's nice in the summer to enjoy the terrace with a glass and a necklace.
Top! Sucker food, professional service and very cozy calendar. We're coming back!
Idyllic setting based in a rural village near Gent and lochristi. Located on the canal and bike route has two eateries with choice of brasserie or restaurant. We chose the restaurant. It had a very cosy interior and comfortable seating. Food offers choice from a la carte or fixed menu. We tried the fixed menu with choice of 2 for each course. Starter chosen was an Asian fusion served in a bowl. Made up of prawns served with couscous, lemon grass and chillies and then with a lovely gaspacho type tomato soup gently poured at the table. So perfectly tasty and refreshing to the palate. For mains we had cod fish also served in a bowl with mashed potato in a delicious bouillon. Again super tasty. For desert a choice of Dame Blanche and a chef's secret. We chose both. The Dame Blanche as perfect with a jug of dark belgian chocolate sauce provided to pour as you wish, too good ! The chef's secret was a pineapple fritter with vanilla ice cream, cream and almonds. Simple combination. Along with the food we took the wine menu. The chardonnay was crisp and fruity. The tempranillo rich and spicy. Overall a lovely evening, very relaxing with great food, good service and very welcoming.
The food was a real pleasure to start, plates were very nicely addressed and also tasted very well. Good and renewful flavors and varied choice. Well, the services were good sometimes a little longer waiting for order of booze and 30 minutes to pay after dinner, I think I'm a little bit personal. It's too bad there was a table in the restaurant that made a lot of noise because they were a big group, which is not really a problem for us, but if you're making the service problems and getting loud, this isn't really about other tables. But respect for the service that stayed quietly to us and who apologized for the other guests. This did make a lot of sense to me personally.
