The Golden Buddha - Georgetown

This restaurant serves delicious Chinese food. Be sure to try the special roasted rice, honey chicken, and braised honey pepper beef. The portions are generous and the food is always tasty. The atmosphere on Friday nights can be lively, so make sure to plan accordingly. I have never had a bad dish here.

Pretty average asian take away, but a tad more expensive than the average. King prawn and bacon rolls were pretty good. Massive ruined king prawns packed in bunch of bacon served with sweet and acidic sauce. Mongolic lamb was also very delicious. Everything else... we had average or lower average chicken maize soup, special fried rice and laksa.

The Golden Bhudda is worth more than $250 million. The head is made of solid gold after some people and the body to over two inches of 18 carat gold. Thai people claimed the whole statue was solid gold.

We had the large soft shell crab bowl for all four meals and they were all great, as usual. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of a Tuesday evening. The take-out service was excellent and we also enjoyed eating at the restaurant.

We frequent this restaurant often and are big fans of both the food and service. We always book the round table, which is perfect for dining and conversation. The restaurant always has cold beer and chilled glasses, which is a rare find these days. There are no parking issues and the take-out service is fast and excellent.
