Shanghai Express - Georgetown

This restaurant offers a warm, personal touch typical of a small town. I've been dining here since it first opened, and even before it became popular when Tony was running the place (which has changed a lot since he left!). He has an incredible memory for orders; I hadn’t been there for almost a year, and he recalled my order perfectly, including my request for extra sweet and sour sauce. You couldn’t ask for better food or service, and the prices are great, which is an added bonus!

Must be seasonal, but okay. I gave him a thumb. Service was great and incredibly fast, ingredients and preparation were very good, but the food is Cafeteria Bland. I ordered House Special Singapore Nudel and everything was right except they left all the curry or chili seasoning completely. Singapore Nudel always has curry in it, but not here. I could not recognize spices about salt, chicken broth and MSG. Nevertheless, food was quite edible, not at all greasy, well prepared with good quality ingredients. If you don't like it, it's very good. If it were true, it would have been great. I'm not from here, so I'm not back. If I ever come here, I can bring a can of curry to the cook or a bottle of Sriracha to season it myself.

I love this place. I'm trying to eat for lunch here at least once a week. I get the Shanghai chicken every time and it's always good and cost-effective!

This restaurant is fantastic! It may not look like much when you arrive, but the food is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent. I highly recommend paying a visit!

Tony is fantastic! He’s been a family friend for a long time. The bourbon chicken is incredible. My favorite dish is the bourbon chicken paired with sweet and sour sauce, which I love to dip into the bourbon chicken sauce. The flavor is amazing! Tony has a remarkable memory and remembers all the details.
