The flavors were good but the sauce was so watery. I actually took this home and did a corn starch slurry with it. It made the dish a lot better. The green beans and chicken were forgettable. I liked it but nothing really special about it. We did get free egg drop soup which was the best I’ve ever had. It had a peppery taste which provides more complexity. I really liked it. The service was great and the women all looked like sisters. They were all very attentive.
To my surprise, the food was delicious. I cook a lot of home made Asian food. This restaurant has that home made Asian taste. Fresh ingredients. Perfectly cooked. I like the fact that they do not use excessive sauces. You can add them as you wish. Good Drinks, wonderful personnel.
In town to see our nephew perform at the Palace Playhouse and grabbed a quick bite. I'm not sure what was going on. Somebody was trying to sing the blues to a group of octogenarians using a backing tape. The bartender and a server were arguing about who was going to quit first. The food was hot and fresh and to be honest not bad. The pho broth was just very...done? Like it had been simmering for too long.I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish, the decor and menu makes it seem like a Vietnamese bistro. The execution makes you feel like a westerner in 1975 Saigon. A thin veil of American culture poorly executed on top of quasi French cuisine served by people no longer interested in pretending that things are gonna get better. My fun meter was pegged.
Refreshing takes on expected flavors try the Khmer tea if you like Thai Tea, I think it might be my new favorite version. We got the beef pho and chicken pho and both were delicious flavor and texture wise not too rich, not too salty, but not flavorless either comfort food. The rest of the menu looked delicious too. The staff were friendly and on top of everything. The booths were comfy. It had a very calm and relaxed but friendly atmosphere that we really enjoyed. We'll definitely be back it'll be our new pho go to.Wheelchair accessibility: The aisles are wide in this restaurant and the way the booths are set up you could easily seat a wheel chair at almost any table.
This charming, family-owned restaurant is delightful and serves delicious food. I tried their Cambodian pasta, and it was fantastic. I also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, which wasn't quite to my taste, but it was still decent. The owner kindly provided two spicy sauces since I requested a bit more heat. I will definitely return to explore more items on the menu. As for vegetarian options, they can replace meat with tofu.
